Principal's Message

A Warm Welcome to the School Year!

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,  

As we kick off a new school year, I want to warmly welcome all our returning families and give a special hello to our new students and their families. We’re excited to start another wonderful chapter in the story of Barbara McClintock STEM School—and we’re so glad you’re part of it!  

This year's theme is "We Are Owls!" Inspired by the wise owl, we will cherish every moment and make thoughtful choices that help build a kind, positive, and thriving school community.  

A quick reminder about the importance of regular attendance. Our goal is for students to be here more than 90% of the time—that’s just 17 or fewer absences. Every minute in school counts, and those moments really add up to big learning and growth!

I also want to encourage all parents and guardians to stay involved and connected. Your support at home and participation in school events make a huge difference in your child's success. Be sure to stay updated through our communication tool, ParentSquare—here, you’ll find all the important dates, news, and details about upcoming events, including our monthly parent-teacher ATP/PTO meetings and family activities.  

Let’s make this year full of growth, laughter, and achievements. Together, we can create a supportive environment where our students thrive and are inspired to reach their full potential.
